Installing NodeJS on Windows or MAC

Installing Node.Js on windows or mac is really easy, just go to the official NodeJs website and click on download (since the webiste will detect automatically your system and give you the latest stable version) and you are ready to go.

Installing NodeJS on Linux

To install Node.Js on Linux on linux, go to the official NodeJs website and get the link to the lastest tar.xz. After you do so, follow the steps below:

mkdir -p /usr/local/lib/nodejs
sudo tar -xJvf node-$VERSION-$DISTRO.tar.xz -C /usr/local/lib/nodejs
export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/lib/nodejs
. ~/.profile

Check installation

Once Node.Js is installed you can open your cmd, shell,... and type node --version and npm --version and you should get a result of the current version installed in your machine.

> node --version
> npm --version
